Jane/Grace, I worry about you! I really do! You are so preoccupied with the very things you warn everyone else about. You seem to know all about the seamy side of life that most of us have never experienced or came anywhere near any of these horrible things. When do you think about good and beauty? You see pagans, witches, satanists hiding behind every bush, its seems your every waking minute is absorbed in all that is ugly in the world. The things you talk about makes my stomach queasy, if your goal is to instill fear and loathing for evil in your readers, then maybe it would be sucessful. BUT, anyone who comes to God through fear, will not remain with HIM long. Repentance and accepting God has to come from the inside out, for it to be a lasting experience. It cannot be forced, as with any other life changing experience. When I quit smoking, it wasn't because someone nagged me to death for five years about it. But, because I had decided in my heart and mind that enough was enough. Talk to any reformed drunk or drug addict and they will tell you, it was an internal decision to quit, independant of anything else. A decision of our own spirit makes the different between staying the course, or quitting when the things get bad again. Grace, what we think about all the time, that is what we become. This was not meant to ridicule you, or your beliefs, Grace, but you are full of pride in your own superior spirituality and intolerant of others who do not have similiar views. I think you should look at yourself, before judging others too harshly. You may be in grave spiritual danger. Carol
