Van,

Sounds like you were as premature to short AAPL yesterday as I was to go long Monday. Now we're both trying to minimize or escape damage. Interesting that it's possible we both could escape unsinged. That in itself may be an indicator.

It seems that there is an unmentioned irony in the circumstance. Currently Apple having a great comeback quarter with reputed inventory shortages not quite meeting demand vs. Compaq & other Wintel camp reporting high inventory build ups due to over estimation of consumer demand. I suppose that it's too much of a stretch to think that one might be related to the other; that Apple's inventory shortage may to some degree be having some causal effect on the inventory build up of Wintels.

Naah... But it's not helping the Wintels a bit.

Good hunting,
HerbVic
