I think most or all of the companies on the "Neuer Markt" defy normal valuation. But most of them are only listed in Germany where individual investors can not sell short.
A company that probably went up because it is a candidate for listing is Pfeiffer Vacuum (PV) which is currently listed on the NYSE. And it even has a relation to biotech because its vacuum pumps are used in biological labs.

The most amazing company for me is Mobilcom which went public one year ago for 62.50 DM. First trading price was 95 DM. Intraday high 2 days ago was 1800 DM. 28x your capital in one year is not a bad return. Today it went down to 1200 DM. There are analyst reports that claim that 1200 DM is a fair price.

If you want to check that market go to neuer-markt.de
