In the tape segment served by the DLT4000, the Sony AIC drive has startd to become more visible, and is potentially a reason that some of the sales of those QNTM products have suffered. In the higher performance offered by the DLT7000, there is still no viable competition, and I suspect this is where QNTM will be generating the most revenues in the future.

In QNTMs favour, some net admins that will not purchase helical scan drives, and prefer DLT with respect to reliability.
