Return on investment of this quarter sales is negative. To pour more money into KE's hands, when he has not acknowledged the need to pursue the low cost strategy is dangerous.

IF and WHEN he changes direction, and provides VALUE to the consumer, instead of trying to rip them off of the extra $50 per drive (when it is only worth $75), then IOM will return to its glory days of 1995/1996 when it traded at multiples of sales.

I think SEG and WDC will kill the zip/jaz products through worse management. QNTM might help expand the market.

Another point about slow computer sales:
win98 is releasing late april/late may. Are YOU buying the new release of win95 osr 2.5 (with explorer 4.0)? or are you going to delay your computer purchase until it comes out...just to see if you should upgrade?

and hey, it doesn't hurt to wait, because all it means is that you pay less for the hardware.

this is the same problem that jaz1 had when KE prematurely announced the jaz2 drive.
