It isn't necessarily Storm vs. Visioneer. The inclusion of kernel mode scanner support in Windows '98 is incredibly bullish for the entire industry. The blasted things will work a lot better, irrespective of who makes them. Should finally become a standard PC peripheral. A rising tide lifts all boats, and VSNR is positioned at least as well as anyone to ride the wave.

I checked out Storm's web site and "EasyPhoto" is in
the name of all their scanners. It does not imply
a snapshot scanner anymore.

The Sears contract is for direct competitors to the Strobe
and PaperPort flatbeds at a significantly lower price.
