I've read a couple of articles that talk of biometrics for the back door of ATM machines, for the people that stock and transfer the monies. Haven't been able to find out who is involved in that aspect. From previous discussions, I can understand that information wanting to be kept secret...

I believe that Chase Manhattan in NY considered, but rejected, a proposal to pilot an IDX fingerscan ATM application in association with their ongoing smart card test. Diebold, of course, has decided to test voice/face biometrics in their ATMs.

I'm not aware of any US ATM fingerscan biometrics presently installed or being piloted. There is some IDX activity in this field outside the US.
