Mosel Vitelec and Windbond want 1.2Bil in 64Mb for 1998!

Checkout:

www.nikkeibp.asiabiztech.com/Database/98_Mar/18/Mor.07.gwif.html

It looks like these two Tiawanese DRAM titans are going for
the 64Mb market with 1.2Bil combined revenue target you looking
at around 15% of the DRAM need world wide. They are
sighting production cost in the $6-$8 range at 0.25um

The 64Mb bloobath begins!

I wonder about "Joe six pack"
My sister-in-law and husband both work in the bus plant in Roswell,
New Mexico. They earn 5 cents an hour more than 5 years ago. They
have 2 phone lines, 3 PCs, one ISP, if you call and both lines are
on the net they call forward to their cell phone. (they're not drug
dealers on the side) Strangely enough the other in laws there are about the same,
not techno nerd types, more of a keeping up with the techno Jones
if anything. But more Mhz/ MBs/ Gigabytes fad may be wearing thin
for lots of folks. Why does my MIS insist I buy a P2, 64 meg sdram
for word processing? Fashion industry, Intel and Gates know that,
but fashions and fads do run out of steam.

The bear/bull ratio fer this thread is amusing and a great sentiment indicator...of course fer a true reading myposts are double weighted hahaha ....ya all keep it up ...it is so nice to trade stocks like MU with that enormous bearish buying (short covering) ....its really focussed and truely competitive (coverer competing with coverer)...GRIM Softly Spoken and recognizing patterns in De Sand Like My Man EUCLID
