Ramsey, the btb numbers are usually revised the next month or two.
Typically the revisions don't amount to much.

Ramsey,

Re: "While "bill" is for products already shipped, "book" is a future commitment that can vaporize overnight. We have all heard of the dirty words such as pushouts, not to mention cancellations."

Good point, IMO, and one Aki has made lately as well. The fact that Micron's margins came in at 5% down from 32% does not bode well for industry conditions in general. Intel's margins are being squeezed also. I feel that some of these "bookings" could disappear.

Anyone notice that Morgan Stanley's positive, "promotional" comments didn't do much for the stock today. Kind of interesting, I thought.

Regards,
Teri

PS. I am long ORCL too and feel they will do well. And, Rockwell (ROK) warned a few minutes ago. What I'm beginning to wonder is what do all of these warnings in aggregate do to the latest S&P 500 EPS estimates. It's surely not helping, and they were showing dismal growth prospects, before the revisions!
