The land around Lake Athebasca is where Cameco has their mines. Cameco is the largest uranium producer in the world. Cameco is the lowest cost uranium producer in the world. Cameco is a Canadian company who is headquartered in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Cameco produces fuel from mined uranium in Ontario. The area around Lake Athebasca is known for uranium. Cogema of France also mines in this area. Uranerz also has interests in this area. This is prime uranium country. The NWT glows as well. Many are predicting increased demand for uranium. I am am one of them. Uranium is useful only as fuel in nuclear reactors. It does have use in aerospace and military, but the quantity is negligable.
