The trading halt followed the issuance of certain press reports incorrectly attributing to the government of Venezuela certain statements regarding Crystallex's claims to the Cristinas 4 and 6 concessions. "We categorically deny the charges made today by Venezuelan congressman Rafael Rodriguez Acosta. Acosta does not speak for the government of Venezuala. Acosta has become a fixture at North American mining conferences, with varied allegations regarding Crystallex. This latest attack adds nothing new to previous allegations that have never been sustained."
