William,...Re:<<Warren Buffett's bullish report>>

If Warren is bullish on bonds, doesn't that imply lower interest rates which historically have been good for stock prices? He also made a specific point in his letter that his interest in Ag was only due to "supply/demand" considerations and not interest rate considerations. (However, it used to be said in futures that soybean prices increased when silver prices increased).

Lower interest rates could also imply imply recessionary conditions but that state seems fairly far off considering the health of the economy now. Or maybe he's bullish on bonds expecting higher yields?

Just curious about this apparent contradiction. It's also possible that since he's a 'pure value investor', it's difficult to rationalize today's valuations and: therefore, cannot find stocks which meet his criteria.

Dell and all the PC venders have always faced competition.

PC reuse and low end PC's have been around since, I remember, the 286 and 386 computers.

Nothing new, but thx 4 ur post.

WCS,

Good links! I won't comment on the first, but on the use of 'used' computers. I have been starting to use speech recognition software, and the minimum CPU speed is 133Mhz, but the preferred software, requires 64MRam, and the faster the CPU the better. I do agree that at some point, the used systems will be awesome by todays standards! At some point, you have to ask yourself, "How much is enough?". It has got to level out, maybe a 1G CPU, 256 MRam, and 100G Hard Disk! Then again. maybe it will never be enough!

Regards,

Ken

Well, folks, how am I doing on my market forecast?

I'd say I'm hitting the proverbial nail right on its head! Let's see if I'm right about the dip in mid-April.

Hello, everyone! Where's Miss Rosie at? And Mr. David Weis? Is he still around? What happened to all the old DellHeads (besides Number 3, who I already know is still here)?
