SB,
I think KE misread the severity of the HDD price decline, and thought that it did not affect the replaceable disk market. I think the market report was old in terms of owner sentiment. Remember that just last december, hard disks were breaking the $60/gig barrier and now we are seeing $30/gig.

3 months!

This market is fast moving. If he bases his decisions on old marketing data, then he is driving the car off a cliff.

Cash is healthy at $180mm. Maybe they consume $100mm in cash because of prebuilt inventory. I think that is reasonable as the worse case assumption.

I think they have 45 days in channel, and that should clear up by end of Q2 (june). I think it will take that long, or maybe worse case into 2nd month of Q3, because of the Win98 shipment.

I know you are bearish on IOM. Please give more bear arguments that build upon the current bear arguements. please don't rehash old arguments.
