There are a few things still right with this country.

Allowing differences of opinion is one.

Mark,>>>Newspapers today reported she is bankrupt and was setting up a $300,000 book deal. Her prospective publisher just dumped her after the 60 min interview. Feels her motivation was only for money...>>>

The book deal is very consistent with the situation. She is broke - she does not deny that. That is why she went to the President for help. Trying to get a book deal to tell a story that she was friendly with President is not inconsistent with anything that we know.

Her publisher dumped the deal, because it was different than the story she told on 60 mins. Before she was forced to testify against the President and before she went on 60 mins, she wanted to maintain a relationship with the President of United States where she hoped (and maybe fantasized) the President could help her out of her financial situation.

Her story changed only after the Whitehouse Spin Meisters began to question her integrity. Remember she did not want to tell this story. It was forced out of her.

That's not exactly how I heard the story - I heard that she was trying to negotiate a book deal quite a while ago (months or years - I don't remember) but could never come to an agreement because the book was to be favorable towards the prez and the publisher didn't think it would sell. Don't know which version is true, but that's what I remember of what I heard on the radio this morning.
