Interesting Quote from www.talks.com:

But trade sources say that in more than one market where Syquest's distribution is equal to that of Iomega's, early returns show Sparq outselling the Jaz two-and-a-half-to-one at its lower price per megabyte

Castlewood has backing from Aiwa, a huge Japanese firm. Orb is even LOWER cost/MB than these two, and will likely have excellent distribution and backing.

Jaz is toast.

Re: www.talk.com

With opening one liners like:

Motely Fools darling

Early birdes feasted on IOM

How can anyone take the article seriously? The article ccompares SparQ to Jaz however, never mentions quality issues with the Sparq. And are there really only 72 million shares of SYQT OUTSTANDING?

This article was just a promo for the webpage. I found the advertising flashing in your face rather annoying.

Zead

Per the article...i don't know who his source is but the part about shipping 100,000 jaz drives this Quarter....is wrong....this guy is dazed....they will ship close to that in jaz2 alone.....i have seen more than 15,000 through ingram alone since i have been looking at the numbers........in terms of the castlewood drive...they will eat syqt, each other up...one thing the jaz has is name recogniton.....and markenting and a possible installed base of 2mil........but it will be interesting.......its funny how we are now looking at the next jaz killer instead of zip........by the articles own admission and several i have seen lately...the zip has won on the low front.........
