That article implies decreased revenue growth for the networking companies for the last year. With the increased use of silicon and sortof standardizing on IP/IPX, decreased revenue growth is going to have to happen. 1/10th the price per port for routing switches is significant vs buying a router port. Is thier data from Tolley or Dell'Or(sp) that states which companies have the greatest share of installed ports? Is # of ports as significant as revenue to determine BAY's value? BAY must be selling 10x more ports to make up the 1/10th price or is it the software and service contracts that make the up the revenue difference?
