Tulvio et al., Re GOM sale: the total amount bid is less relevant than te total acreage acquired. Indeed as an investor in Oilfield Service stocks, you want to see lower bids- it means that energy companies are adjusting their exploration strategies to accommodate lower-priced oil, yet assuring reasonable profit margins...
