<<Rockwell says PRICING PRESSURE for modem sales...>>

Jan,

Not for nothing, but I didn't need Rockwell to tell me that most people don't care about V.90.
They didn't really care about x2 or 56flex, because it really isn't much faster than 33.6.

This should tell the modem makers that analog modem speeds are not going to turn anyone on anymore.

x.DSL will if they would start to get a standard setup and deploy.

MSFT, CPQ, INTC, etc. all said last month that x.DSL (g.lite) by Christmas.
Maybe this is the kick in the head they all need.

Joe

I don't see that affecting ASND except in a good way. Lower prices on 56K modems means more demand for 56K service = more demand for ASND TNT ports (and upgrades).

Many here seem a little impatient this week as if ASND couldn't possibly move down during options expiration week (or for any other reason). My time horizon is a bit farther out than 11am tomorrow.

Steve
