More a level of frustration than anything else MJ. But IFMX does have weak market presence. There is no advertising and no name recognition. I have been hoping for a good ad campaign and a marketing VP. Say what you will about marketing and advertising, but they work. Just ask MSFT and SEBL among others, The apps
vendors do not even acknowledge IFMX's existence unless asked. Baan used to push only Informix and has gotten to the point now that they support everyone due to market pressure. At a recent major Help desk and Support desk vendor presentation I was told only 3% of their total revenue base in 1997 was on IFMX. That's a shameful number given that app vendor's standing. There have been a bunch of posts here regarding app vendors view that the database is a commodity. IFMX has done nothing to change that.

As for the partnership thing, last I saw, all the partnership people were laid off at IFMX and no attempt has been made to strengthen the relationships. Sorry I don't have the message numbers from a couple of weeks ago to point you to.
