OTEXF has a window of opportunity. The groupware crowd will turn this industry into a commodity playing field inside 2 years. At the moment OTEXF is the established commodity player in DM. If they can push through, make some serious cash and diversify into things such as their new websearch thing then they have half a chance. Otherwise they will get steamrolled.

My guess is that to the 6-12 month horizon there is serious upside in this stock ... say $45+ but beyond that it could be just as bad on the downside.

Everybody knows OTEXF is cashing up to buy. I think that rumors about DCTM and DOCSF are ridiculous because:

1. They can't afford them
2. There are much cheaper pickin's if you are after full fledged DM vendors .... eg ALTS 2 and a bit with trading suspended and a class action pending.

Of course I am not convinced that buying a DM vendor adds anything to OTEXF (unless all they want is the installed client base), wouldn't they be better off looking at VRTY. That would certainly stuff alot of their competition and give them enormous future leverage.

Michael

PS But then again ... somebody started buying lots of DOCSF today ....
