Dufour,
I can tell you what I know and then do your own research on top of that. There is two main shareholders, Ron Sterne with 1,000,625 shares and Darryl Stackhouse with 1,025,001 shares out of a float of 5,564,496 shares of approx. 36.4% of outstanding shares. There is stock options totaling 480,000 @ $0.60 exercisable until Dec. 23,2001 for the top two as well as the two directors and 10 employees. This company has been in business for (if memory serves me correctly) 15 years and totally revamped their direction about 3 years ago know. A large portion of the IPO went to Professors at the University of Calgary, which is how I heard about it (instructor in a class I was taking). So this also could add to the liquidity problem of the stock over the past. I share your concern about the apparent one product that this company has but for what I have been able to gather they are working on adapting the "Labrador" to other users, not just Oil and Gas. As far as their program becoming obsolete, it is entirely possible, but I would think they would get bought out before that would happen. Don't interpret that to mean that I think/know/want someone to buy them out but is the internet and large networks going to become obsolete someday. Probably but something else better and faster will replace them. This is information that I am getting off the Financial Statement and it is for the year-end October 31,1997
Assets:
cash and receivables: $1,125,633
Capital Assets: $154,100
Program Development: $800,947
Total: $2,080,680
Liabitilties:
Current and Long term: $653,190

Shareholder Equity: $1,427,490

Total Revenue: $1,604,374

Expenses:
General and admin.: $599,786
Advertising: $477,042
Total Expenses: $1,408,687
(I just had the two because they are the major outlays, if you want to see more visit the website)

The put is an additional $386,077 into program development costs. I personally like the amount they are spending on advertising, it doesn't matter how good the product is if nobody knows about it. Do some research and make an informed decision. Just because I like it doesn't mean it is good or bad.
