Motorola , 360 in $100 mln deal
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., March 18 (Reuters) - Motorola Inc.'s Cellular Infrastructure Group said Wednesday it has been selected to expand 360 Communications Co.'s digital cellular network in a deal worth more than $100 million.
The company said in a statement that it will expand and enhance six cellular markets with Code Division Multiple Access digital technology.

360 Communications currently offers CDMA digital service in Las Vegas, Nev., and plans to launch service in Raleigh, N.C., in the second quarter of 1998. It also plans to enter five additional markets by the end of the year.

Motorola CIG makes cellular networks. 360 Communications provides wireless voice and data services to more than 2.6 million customers.
