I think NORTEL buying this startup is no big deal. ASND has a broad range of products. I am sure someday INTERNET and TELECOM industries are going to merge. The leading TELECOM players are TLAB, ADCT, CIEN, LU, NORTEL THE INTERNET Players are CSCO, ASND, BAY, CS (NN, COMS ans SEIMENS) are left out because they have startegic relatiotionship. If LU takes BAY or ASND, I guess CSCO will go after CIEN or ADCT or TLAB. If ASND is the only one left out, I agree they will have a tough time, and may be it is time to get out of the stock long term.
