Technology Stocks : Winstar Comm. (WCII) -- Ignore unavailable to you. Want to Upgrade?

AT&T neither needs nor wants WCII. For wireless, it already has Project Angel and Teleport's Biztel unit. In addition, they will soon be able to obtain a national footprint in LMDS technology by purchasing WNP/NextBand for half of WCII's market cap. For local residential, it has the cable companies, once they upgrade their plant. With the acquisition of Teleport, cable companies own 10 percent of AT&T. AT&T will not alienate these shareholders (or any of its other shareholders) by using an unreliable technology from a company with a questionable and emotionally immature management. Sorry Dubbie, you will have to look for some other company to bail you out of your WCII investment.
