Senthil, I was expecting a price cut by now, but why? Where is the competition that will force a price cut? If IOM is being threatened with the lower disk margins, then maybe the marketing model is changing. Go for more profit on the drive to make up for the loss in zip disk sales in the future.

Nevertheless, IOM will be going through some tough times in the next year. I do not expect any money to be made from it for at least 6 months, due to the increased marketing expenses and the transfer to the lower margin "built in" zips. I also expect new computer users with the built-in zips to buy less disks than one who has a full computer. What a great time to make that switch -- When CPQ has to drop prices to get there computers out the door.

The only thing that can save IOM is a buyout/merger or someone comes through with the Clik. I have lost enough...I'm just glad that I did it all in Jan. and have been holding worthless options that maybe I can get 1/8 out of.
