...There's the possibility the lease sale and the rise in oil prices may stretch the
rally in oil-services shares into Thursday, but few expect an imminent return
to the highs reached in the fall. "Until oil is north of $17, we won't see a
sustained rally in the group," Urness said.

Industry observers said this was so far just a one-day respite for oil and
oil-services shares.

"Until we reach some sort of comfort level, I would expect volatility in both
