LGND will not just go from 16 to 90 in one day. It has been in the teens for a while and won't start to make money, people say, until next year. The long term investment strategy people seem to be following is that LGND will have some surprising success and the price will double or triple in a day, so don't miss it. That is speculation. It could happen to any of the biotechs. To invest long term money in a company like LGND is to miss opportunities in companies that are much better positioned to actually break out and produce fantastic returns.
