What kind of killer apps you're talking about? We're talking about business applications here. I thought business people only use MS Office, IE or Netscape, and maybe database program. Those aforementioned applications don't require high-end systems. Just a 200mhz P-MMX system will handle the job nicely. In fact, you can even do some multimedia things like voice recognition and internet telephony on such a system.

I don't see how a 333mhz P2 system can be fully utilized for business purpose. I can imagine that these high-end systems are fantastic machines for die-hard gamers running realtime 3-d rendering games. And they're ideal system for scientific application like Mathematica and other simulation software. Other than that, it's like driving a Ferrari in stop-and-go traffic.
