Darren, Thanks for the retrospective. Please permit me to add to it a bit. It's true that LU was licensing the code earlier on, as you noted, but that release came prior to their announcement of their own carrier-grade and enterprise-grade data voice servers (gateways). When they eventually announced their initial gateways, later on, they were limited to an elemedia (I think) 729 variant in the September time frame when all the fur was flying, and then they later came through with the 723.1 in their own server.
