DVD-Audio vs Super Audio!?
Here's the article:

nikkeibp.asiabiztech.com

Highlights:
The DVD Forum (33 companies, including Intel) are proposing a new
audio standard to be announced in May, with first players ready for
Christmas'98.

But Sony, Philips, Marantz, Sharp, and "others" are pushing a competing
standard named "Super Audio".

Super Audio is backward compatible with current CD audio, DVD-Audio is not.
But DVD-Audio can store 704 minutes, vs. only 74 minutes
for Super-Audio, whose disks are expected to be slightly more expensive!

Is this conflict necessary!??
