Just to descend totally into nerddom, here. I was searching around the Net the other day, and found an upgrade card for my wife's Power Computing Mac clone. It's a G3 card, running at 275MHz, with a 1MB backside cache also running at 275MHz. And it was only about 1,300 bucks. That ought to scream. When you get your G3, make sure you get a backside cache running at 1:1. Makes a huge difference, according to reports. - Allen

My problem with apple is where do i go if i buy one through their net site, and have a problem? what if i want to share monitors with my old apple, and my new P2? how do i resolve these "simple" issues? when apple cut their retail support, they also cut their pseudo technical force. Not having used an apple recently, I can't comment on their ease of use and maintenance. In my experience maintenance costs are low, then spike up dramatically when things screw up. I equate this on the same level as the click of death issue with Iomega. Imagine what the first few thousand COD victims had to go with Iomega, before IOM finally admitted the problem and created "help" (send it back). BL
