To All: Good Morning Concerning the problem with AOL's news thread, I posted the following last night. The reply I received appears to be generic as I have received it before. Help us out here if you possibly can by sending an e-mail stating simply "netz news", to the following addresses: techprob@aol.net stevecase@aol.com IN Ellie@aol.com Partytime rallied the troops throughout the system yesterday concerning the ongoing problem that I can't seem to procure a remedy for. Thanks dude. I will continue to forward the original message to Mr. Case in the event someone previews his mail and erases it. Oh yeah, if I come up missing, send out the troops. Below are reply's from various departments along with the content of my initial message to them. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Subj: Re:NETZ NEWS Date: 98-03-19 01:44:47 EST From: techprob@aol.net To: rover44778@aol.com Dear rover44778, I am writing to you on behalf of America Online to answer your recent question/comments. Technical Services Representative America Online, Inc. ------------------------- The following was sent to Steve Case via Steve's Mailbag at 10:30 PM EST on March 18,1998. Mr. Case: This message is being forwarded to you as a last resort to fixing an ongoing problem. The following was sent by me to techprob@aol.net. They do not seem to have a remedy to our problem. Look guys, I have reported this to you 3 times. The news and current events are still not showing up on the "AOL Investment Snapshot" for the stock NETZ. The news shows up on "News by Ticker". However, if I have to go to my portfolio ("AOL Investment Snapshot") and then jump over to "News by Ticker", there's just not much use for me to have the "AOL Investment Snapshot" to begin with. This has become a problem with all who are on the NETZ Motley Fool Board at: aol://5863:126/mB:185653 and also the AOL members that subscribe to the Silicon Investor stock forum atSubject 18726 . I requested twice last week that this problem be solved and all you did was give me the alternate routing via News by Ticker. I don't want a detour I want the direct route. If the thing doesn't work then you shouldn't have it on there to begin with. I pay a monthly fee and expect to have full access to all services that AOL claims to offer. This is the only stock in my portfolio that does not reflect current events. It has missed the last 3 news releases concerning this stock (netz). This stock is an Internet related stock and unless it is a direct conflict to you, I and others would appreciate this problem being remedied. Thank You, Brady Bragg, et.al. rover44778@AOL.COM This message will be forwarded to both the Motley Fool Board and the Silicon Investor Board. I will also forward a copy to Mr. Case himself. This problem has been a nuisance to myself and others long enough. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I also recieved the following response on the Motley Fool Board: Subject: RE: Technical Problem Date: Wed, Mar 18, 1998 23:33 EST From: IN Ellie Message-id: Brady writes . . . > I sent the following to the aol technical department, steve case and a few > concerned citizens.
