Now that MU has posted a 2Q operating loss of over .40, it's a good time to reflect on some of the analysts' recent predictions:

1-21-98 CS First Boston lifts rating to "buy" from "hold" and forecasts higher DRAM prices. Also sees net for fiscal 98 (ending August 31) at +.26 share and climbing to $1.23 for fiscal 99. That same day, Paine Weber joins the party and upgrades from "neutral" to "buy." MU goes up $2 to $32.125.

1-28-98 NB Montgomery Securities raises 1999 earnings estimates from +.75 to +$2.00. MU goes up 2 15/16 to 35 5/16.

2-26-98 Lehman Bros. forecasts 2Q loss of .24; 3Q loss of .18 and 4Q loss of .12.

3-3-98 Kurlak predicts operating loss of .44

Seems pretty obvious who is on top of the game this time.
