The Fibre Channel Association (FCA) Wednesday announced that several of its members will participate in a seminar on Fibre Channel applications at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show, on April 8 from 2-5 p.m.

Through presentations and interactive discussions, seminar attendees will learn how their businesses can benefit from implementing Fibre Channel solutions through specific application stories. Brad Dick, editor of Broadcast Engineering, will moderate the session.

"Data-intensive and high-speed applications such as broadcast, video production and multimedia, have created a demand for powerful, integrated storage and networking systems," said Dick. "To meet this need, Fibre Channel is increasingly becoming 'the solution' of choice. The goal of the seminar is to examine Fibre Channel and show how the technology offers users a unique and powerful solution to today's storage and networking needs."

In addition, these speakers will be joined by representatives of other FCA member companies that will present the benefits of Fibre Channel products and services for the film, video, and broadcast market. I caught a news story on CNBC that Silicon Graphics preannounced bad earnings. This is probably negative news for CPCI.
