Sonny--- why limit to 500 shares? Use a cost per share or trade factor instead of share amount. The more shares traded the bigger the potential gain or loss--it is nice when on the gain side. Last fall I was trading 2 blocks of an issue totaling over 15K shares of an inexpensive issue. A 1/8 gain was nice but most trades were in the 3/8 to 3/4 range. That one was good for 1 - 3 trades per week for months. It became so tired of seeing the symbol it became a chore. At times it was impossible to track the exact amount owned --- my CPA thinks it still is. Even HWP can be traded many times over a year for a 5 point swing. Any issue that fluctuates in a range is worth a play. They just must be monitored and have strict exit points on both the up and down side. Seems easier to take a 1/8 over a block instead of trying to clear the same profit on 500 shares.
