I think the buying power is too high now. Probably the accounting of the short sale is screwed up. To check it you could treat it as a normal long buy. That should lead to the same buying power after buying that you get with with selling short.

Short sell an additional 52 shares of QGENF at $71.50 per share = credit of $3718. For a total of 100 short QGENF. Average basis: $69.82.
