The article from WORTH magazine (online) - a bear-like view: worth.com "Like many short sellers in the current bull market, DAVID TICE suffered a frustrating 1997, as his short-selling fund, Prudent Bear Fund, turned in a total return of negative 4.3 percent. Yet his previous picks-er, pans-for Worth have proved exceedingly prescient: His ten stocks in Worth's July/August issue, for example, have already fallen some 20 percent..." Of note, he is also betting against high flying Dell & Yahoo stocks. "Velly interesting" (from those who remember Laugh-In)

Kirk: RE:<You should thank Worth as it will encourage more silly shorts> I'm going to type out a thank you note to Worth Magazine right now. I agree with your comments about the Buffet Letter and how we should be glad when the price of UTEK is low. I too look forward to the opportunity to buy a few more shares at $18 in the near future. BTW, It's amazing how low UTEK daily volume has fallen to. If I were short, I'd sure be worried about the size of the door to cover right now. Do you (or anyone else) know when NASDAQ shorts are announced for March? P P
