I know there is a y2k lawsuit filed against Symantec.Apparently, it has been filed claiming that Symantec is forcing users to buy new Y2k compliant versions of their software rather than making a free fix available. Symantec claims that new versions have other improvements as well that users will need/want? and that current version should work anyway. Thats what I understood regarding the context of the suit.

I attended the legal conference.

I am not a lawyer, but am so interested in the topic I attended the conference. I spoke to all of the panelists off line. They were VERY knowledgeable and VERY concerned about Y2K. Interesting stuff that I reported at the time.

Best, Ivan1
