MrB., there's another important threshold beyond y2k. There has recently been uncovered bugs relating to 2048. This is the year 2 to the 11th bug, referred to in the literature the Y211 problem. (Don't make the mistake I first did of almost reading past this problem thinking it was either a new cologne or some personal hygiene issue.)

This problem is not extremely severe, though it is expected to offer some dislocation in the economy. It is widely believed that several factors will lessen the impact of this one.

First, it is expected that automatic code remediation technology will already be a part of the operating system by 2048. Bill gates has already identified this as a target technology.

Second, and most importantly, code that was originally coded with the thought in mind that "This software should last so long. hahaha" isn't expected to last so long.

As it stands now current projections are that the only practical effects are likely to be that a few escalators in fourth world countries will reverse direction. Up/Down Sign remediation companies offering IPOs beginning in approximately 2045 will in all likelihood address all needs and then some.

Humbly report, All, #reply-3770391 is interesting.

Hey, maybe it's all just one guy in his underwear, with a laptop.

Very low burn rate, and all that tech stuff.

I remain, humbly dreaming no burn rate, by the mail slot of the FBN mail room, virtually near the first arch of the Mala Strana side of Charles Bridge, where they serve great hot rum, gratis for me, yours truly, just smoke,
