Right now I have a couple of minutes. This KOD-1 was drilled at the end of december last year - we oonly receioved the result a couple of days prior to the announcement. diamond drillholes take a time to process as we:

Half and quarter cut the core
Log the hole
Sample pre in Kazkastan
Ship to Almaty
Frieght to Australia
Assya in Australia

These samples also got a little lost in customs somewhere along the way just to add to the time frame.

the diamond rig is still on site and we would naturally like to use it during 1998. We are currently talking to contractors who have somewhat more verstaile rigs in country and would be better suited to drilling deeper holes in Kosmurun Main Zone.

We are not drilling at the moment - being the end o fWinter it is still pretty cold - although this would not normally worry us to much.

The hole was targetted intot the deeper portion of the upper zone below the base of the opne pit and as the release clelarly indicates is collared between two exisitng holes.

This was a spectacular hole - great metal values and a good width of mineralisation. At 25 metres it it close to true width. 25 metres of massive sulphides is prett impressive. If you put a drive through the orebody on this section you would be able to walk horizontally 80 metres or so in massive sulphide - That is impressive - At Kidd Creek a few years ago I walked along about 50 metres of massive copper-ore and was amazed at the width.

Kosmurun is a large ore body by any comparison.
