- I agree that Vivus is not being manipulated in the true sense of the word.

-- Instead, there are truly 100% certifiable idiots who actually think Vivus is going to Zero.

-- Surprise: companies with $90 mill in cash; 35 mill shs o/s; making $1+ a share; in the pharmaceutical industry, etc... aren't going anywhere but up in stock price.

-- The new short position for 3/15/98 will be out shortly. It's already around 10.5 mill. If it doesn't go below 9 mill, I really think some savy Wall St. types are going to step in. It'll make the short squeeze of PRST look like disneyland.

Regards.

DR BOND Good to know you had enough cash to survive the PRST squeeze! Boy, you were actually $1,289,000.00 in the hole when PRST hit 200 (and I thought my vivus position was giving me chest pains). I'm sure many investors/speculators were unable to afford to tolerate such "paper loses" due to margin calls which couldn't be covered or due to sheer mental panic. The only sense I can make on this vvus situation is that many short positions are hedged against the box along with outright shorts who have an agenda to keep vivus down--but you would think that short only interests would cover by now and go elsewhere (God only knows there are so many high flyers out there that can generate much better returns in the near future for a hedge fund). I wouldn't be suprised if some deep pockets don't force a squeeze in the near future. With vivuses relatively small float I would think that whoever initiates a squeeze can make some very serious money on vivus. I have to go--I'll email you later. Thanks for responding.

SGP has announced they will register "Vasomax" in Mexico. Licensed to them by ZONA. Oral phentalomine mesylate for MED.

I just wanted to collect an opinion if this was a direct competitor to VVUS or PFE's product, and if yes, how late will it be in USA.

I am long term SGP holder and also have rolled up calls for the last year. PFE calls also.

You should be very careful putting more money in vvus since
FDA will give its approval to Pfizer to start selling viagra
as early as next week.
I am NOT shorting vvus because I do not make my money this way.
Good luck with your investment.

Did you short PRST at 72 and you lived to tell us about?I would thing when you were down more than a mil. you would have jumped. I know I would.
As for VVUS,the product is out,but not real promise. If you were following biotechs closely, you will see that there is no need for sales, bigger plants, and advertising.Just a blockbuster sample or idea. MUSE is none of that.
