Anyone on this thread hear of TXN's recent canceling its two big projects, the DCP (Data Compression Products) and the Vivid (a DSP project) after nearly a year of spending money & human resources on the projects. A friend of mine told me that he and some 50 other engineers, who previously worked on the projects, have been sitting around doing nothing for the last 2 months, and there could be some 50 more engineers will be unemployed in the upcoming months. If this is truth, I am wondering how could TI management manage to let this happened, nearly a hundreds of engineers unemployed for a couple months? And how will this has impact on the earning of the upcoming quarters?
