[EARNINGS ESTIMATES]---Rob, ADI came in with better than expected
earnings based on their dsp sales. Guess who owns 45% of the worlds
dsp chips? Your estimates do not compute.

Anyone on this thread hear of TXN's recent canceling its two
big projects, the DCP (Data Compression Products) and the
Vivid (a DSP project) after nearly a year of spending money
& human resources on the projects. A friend of mine told me
that he and some 50 other engineers, who previously worked
on the projects, have been sitting around doing nothing for
the last 2 months, and there could be some 50 more engineers
will be unemployed in the upcoming months.

If this is truth, I am wondering how could TI management
manage to let this happened, nearly a hundreds of engineers
unemployed for a couple months? And how will this has impact
on the earning of the upcoming quarters?

Rob,
I know a guy that is involved with there 64meg SDRAM, he tells me that
in the past month that this project went from being the hottest project at TI to a lower priority and the tape out has been pushed out
2 months. He feels that this confirms that TI may be getting ready to
sell there DRAM business. Hear anything about this??
