DH,

While the use of insurance companies is interesting, I find that, IMHO, the comparison isn't very accurate for the following reasons:

1) - Insurance - The 'betting' that something will or won't happen - Life Insurance - the buyer is betting they 'will' die ( and therefore collect the big $'s ) and the insurance company is betting they 'will not' die. ( And they pay hospital bills to prove it, and make sure that the premium payers know it too!)

2) - Insurance - Auto Insurance - You are betting you 'will' have an accident, and 'they' are betting you won't! I certainly try not to have any accidents!

3) - DELL - provides a product (Computer) to somebody (the consumer) that WANTS IT! (Find a need and FILL IT!)

Intersting comparison anyway!

Regards,

Ken
