TimeStep, an affiliate of Newbridge Networks, has entered into a agreement
today with Mitsubishi Corp, one of Japan's leading general trading
companies. Under the terms of the agreement, Mitsubishi will carry
TimeStep's award-winning PERMIT Enterprise product family through its
extensive Japanese distribution channels. This relationship will extend
TimeStep's reach into the Japanese market where Mitsubishi is a shaping
force in many industries.
Mitsubishi and TimeStep will focus on selling TimeStep's secure VPN product
line to key market segments in Japan such as telephone companies, Internet
service providers, financial institutions, and to many of the internal
subsidiaries of Mitsubishi.
PERMIT Enterprise is an Internet Protocol Security compliant secure VPN
solution for corporate intranets, extranets, and Internet remote access.
Designed for large-scale business communications, PERMIT Enterprise
supports unlimited nodes through its scaleable public key infrastructure
(PKI). Easily and transparently deployed into existing networks, PERMIT
Enterprise's group-based policy management enables corporations to create
and manage multiple secure VPNs.
