This is a slight variation of my post on the VD Model thread.

QGENF is up another 8% in early german trading. Those that want to check german trading can go to lgbank.de look for name Qiagen, symbol QIA or type in WPKN 901626. With a 1999 PE below 100 it is still one of the more reasonalbly priced members of the german "Neuer Markt".

The Neue Markt looks like a bubble in the making. But it is not yet clear whether or when the bubble will burst. The index of the complete market went up 6% monday another 6% tuesday down 9% wednesday and up 4.5% thursday. If the current mania persists Qiagen can easily double again. I am somewhat disappointed that I missed the fun of riding the Neuer Markt bubble up. But at todays prices I prefer to stay away from the whole market. The complete market can be inspected at neuer-markt.de

V1,

Just uncovered this post of yours. With QGENF under $35, the newly founded Trickle Portfolio snapped a bit up at that price. This being below your fair value of over two years ago (and likely a couple of splits ago), I was wondering if you still followed the stock and what you think of it here.

The Trickle Portfolio is taking shape, thanks to the recent buying ops, but awaits your perspective.

Cheers, Tuck
