Carol, Could you point out those other threads for me when you get time. Are they something like one person writes a paragraph, and then lets it up for someone else to take over for a bit?

I write fiction also, but it just seems to labors for me and my phat fingers to lay it all down. I would like to fire off a paragraph or two once in a while, but shortly after that, I lose concentration being vertical and typing.Thanks.aw.

Carol,

thanks for the compliment on the story. In all of the books Ive read on writing, they say the 1st rule is not to kill off the main character. I would make the point that many great works have the main characters killed. And also he is not killed in the story itself, but rather it is assumed that the chain of events leads to this ultimate conclusion. I have also had critiques which have said that I need more character development. Isn't the whole point of a short story the absence of prolonged character development????

And yes, I do have some poetry I've written. Would appreciate any comments you may have.
