Yes, I did answer it. Specifically. If you don't read what I respond to you with, please don't ask me again. I don't remember the Teutonic Knights--being purely Germanic even in name--being headquartered in the heart of the territory which was purely pagan at that time according to even the Time-Warner History of the World Atlas maps, and all other things. But, the Teutonics are not my area of study, just the Templars and St. John. The Teutonic Knights were in central Germany around Mainz. There is a small town in Germany which was their true home, and is still lovingly commemorated each year by the residents there. I have it in my box of copied pages of hundreds of books. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying this is not a pagan history thread and your motives of discussion seem far from Jesus Christ. THerefore, I have no real desire to continue them here. I long for a warrior monk thread however, and may get one going for just such debates. Also, have you held a chair at Cambridge? You seem to be the only medievil historian who has those benedictine brothers "crusading" against the pagans.
