Earlie, Do you have a good feel for Micron Technologies (exclusive
of MUEI's) cash position? The reason I ask is that their conference
call indicated that they were double taxed on the sale of the MUEI
contract manufacturing division. I don't understand why this would
happen unless MUEI passed it on to MU as a dividend. I don't
understand why MU would choose to do this unless they needed cash very
badly.

Does MU pay taxes on cash received from MUEI? If so the merged
accounting of cash position seems rather misleading.

Ed

earlie, what the analysts can't envision in their raisin brains is that demand AND supply are dynamic. they think supply is static. it isn't and it never will be. what dopes. bet you didn't know the dancing raisins were analyst brains trying to make extra money ;-)

Earlie, thanks for the excellent synopsis of the disastrous state of the dram business. One thing you overlooked is Microstamp may be on everything that moves in the year 2025 VBG. There also may be another Dram shortage in my lifetime-I'm 34 -g-. While your arguments fall on many deaf ears some of us see the light. In grimspeak it will be a year of tough love for Micron and its supporters. Mike
