Dave, ADSL will only loose you money in 98. Join the captain and buy oil stocks. That is where the real money is this year.

David: I disagree with your assessment of this situation.
I am in no way an engineer, but I do read all of the industry publications that I can get. And it's about 15 of them every other week.
And what I can tell is that the larger companies are really pushing for the faster ADSL technology. They want it, and they want it now! As news such as this ROK/PAIR agreement comes out, the Street is paying more and more attention to this technology. The RBOC's have to be pressured into spending money on their infastructure. That is currently happening. And what the Street is waiting for are signs that they have succumbed to the pressure. News releases such as these are EXACTLY what Wall Street is looking for! Confirmation that the technology is on it's way to end users. Confirmation that money will be changing hands.
I am still waiting to hear if Goldman Sachs will update their opinion or comment on this news. If they do, and I truely expect them to as they have done in the past, then look for more institutional sponsorship as PAIR and common use of ADSL technology is legitimized by this new relationship.
Good Luck. R..
