I am trimming the fat from my portfolio and I am trying to decide what to do with these May 22.5 calls that I have.

The discussion on the tread is encouraging. I was thinking about buy more of the May 22.5 calls. Do you all think that we will see CUBE up to $22.5 after the April 17 announcement? Or even before then? The volume as of late has been less than encouraging

Peter,
Volume of 30 or 50 calls is not a big deal.
...500....
now your talking "something" COULD BE going on.
....1000....
most likely, but not always.

then look at the OI

and you will figure out why the stock is rising by tomorrow expiration....

also look at the OI and volume tonight and see how the OI changes tomorrow...see if the volume today is opening or closing of march position

this happens all the time..especially with thinly traded stocks that are easily manipulated...

or if you dont believe in the manipulation theory

it happens all the time as the natural ebb and flow....cause and effect... of the hedging marketplace

also...remember that there are more strategies than just buying a call or a put

i know 2 people that will be doing a bear credit spread on Cube in the 21-22 dollar range if they can get the numbers they want on the spread.

to answer your question your next question...sell lower strike call and buy higher and try to do it for less than .5 point risk...if they cant get it for that, they wont do it.
